The Running with Dogs Company are proud to offer our Daycare and Training Services to the Hampshire area!

Daycare

We have exclusive access to 2 acres of secure land on a farm just outside of Andover. We have some fun agility equipment, paddling pools for the summer months, and shepherd huts and a log burning stove for the winter months. We collect the dogs each morning and our vans are kitted out with individual crates and fans. We take them to the farm for the day before dropping them home again, usually nice and tired!

  • Daycare is charged at £25 per session, which includes collection and drop off.

  • This number can vary!

  • We will need to know the following information beforehand:

    • Name, age and breed of dog? (Please note that because of the breed legislation act we are unable to work with the following breeds- American Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentina, Fila Braziliero)

    • Is your dog/bitch neutered/spayed? (Please note if a bitch is unspayed we will be unable to work with her during the time she is in season)

    • Your emergency contact details

    • Vet contact details

    • Is your dog fully up to date with its vaccinations and flea/worm treatment?

    • Any other information we need to be aware of?

Training

We offer six-week beginners training classes throughout the year. We also offer one to one sessions for individual dogs and owners that need work on specific behaviours. We follow this up each week with homework sheets as a reminder of what you have done in class. Please remember to keep your practice sessions short and fun!

FAQs

  • Depending on the training service required, we have different pricing:

    • Puppy training - £120 for the 6 week course

    • 1-1 training session - £75 for an hour or £200 for 3 booked sessions

    • 1 hour Zoom session - £30 (if can’t be done in person)

    • Workshops - priced on an individual basis

  • The venues will change according to class type and season, but will always be held locally.

  • Dogs will progress at different rates, this is fine and you should not be comparing your dog to the one next door. However, if you do lots of short, fun training sessions between classes you will give your dog the best opportunity to progress.

  • If you are encountering any particular challenges/problems, please talk to one of the Instructors.
